From 1986, the year they tied the proverbial knot, Michael Jarmer and René Ormae-Jarmer, with a revolving roster of top-notch musicians, have crafted their signature brand of quirky and catchy original alternative rock music and performed across the Northwest United States and into Southern California as headliners in clubs and as support for national acts such as The Dan Reed Network, The Fixx, Modern English, and Moxy Fruvous. In that time, they have released into the musical universe four E.P.’s and eight full length albums and have written over 600 songs as a part of the Veronica Lodge songwriting collective. 2025 and 2026 mark two very distinguished anniversaries for the musical dynamic duo: these years mark the 20th anniversary of their seminal work, the concept album “Submarines,” and the 40th anniversary of both the marriage and the band. No small potatoes. In a 20/40 celebration, the duo releases a remastering of “Submarines,” offered up for the first time on vinyl, coupled with performances and hosted listening parties in celebration of this most blessed, glorious event. Additionally, Michael Jarmer and HCE alumni, Adam Fagelson, in a transcontinental writing and recording team of epic proportions, have, since 2024, released two full albums of original art rock songs as PROJECT MA.
